Guest guest
I found these awesome wild blueberries in whole foods frozen fruit section. They are the stores 365 brand and are called Boreal Wild Blueberries. They are wild harvested in Quebec so no pesticides are used, and best of all are only 2.69 for 16 oz (normal price, they weren't on sale). They are frozen, but wild berries are way better than cultivated ones and they taste great. Just putting this info out there, as I know theres some others who love flavorful blueberries. They go awesome in my sourdough pancakes. I'm also going to be making some hard apple blueberry cider...mmmm. Does anyone know if they would lose most of there anti-oxidants and/or nutrients cooked in my sourdough pancakes? I ideally would like to ferment them using kefir grains to make a nice unsweetened jelly like spread, but I could use them raw as well. -
Guest guest
LOL, yes I can get 2 pounds of frozen organic wild blueberries for less than 1 pound of fresh pesticide ridden ones around here too. I like them in smoothies and my son loves them right out of the freezer for a crunchy and healthy treat!
