Guest guest
Hi, my name is . I am new to this group. at the Weston Price Foundation told me to find this group. My daughter has many food allergies. We suspect leaky gut syndrome as a root cause of the allergies. We have been through quite a bit with this, everything from the regular doc giving us cream for the symptoms to an alternative practice telling us " absolutely no grains, " then giving us supplements with wheat, rice, and soy (another of her allergies) all in the same visit. We have since found out that the alternative clinic has a reputation of just being out to sell their supplements. Dairy seems to be the worst, and my son is allergic too. I suspect I may be. We recently tried raw milk for the first time, and had much less severe of reactions, but still had them. I'm thinking to try making kefir and see if that's better. We've had Nourishing Traditions for several years, and have enjoyed several of the recipes. I also enjoy reading the information in it, and this is what has inspired me that we may be able to cure these allergies ourselves through foods. I am looking to gain knowledge of what to do for this, hear others' similar experiences, and perhaps get a little cooking advice if I mess up with some of these " science experiments " as they've been dubbed at our house.
