Hi!

I finally found a supply for raw goat's milk, but it is quite far from

my house. Can I freeze it? I mainly use it for making yogurt and

yogurt cheese.

Also, could I freeze cow's milk?

Thanks.

Yes, goat milk freezes really well! The cream in cow milk changes when

frozen so that it's still edible, but not as delectable. The fat breaks

up into globules.

Sure, you can freeze any milk...it won't be quite as good as fresh, but better

than store-bought commercial milk! Just make sure you put it in a freezable

container and above all, leave a little room to expand (I have had glass

bottles break). You can thaw it slowly in the refrigerator or more quickly on

the

counter.
