Guest guest
Can participate in Challenger without a buddy? I know our coach assigns buddies to the kids that need them and not to the others. She also spends a lot of time developing baseball skills -- I've seen a huge improvement in my boys' abilities. -- Cassie pimmy5@... wrote: > I had on a recreational league for soccer two years ago. Guest guest
Do you have a local chapter of Special Olympics? I put my 11 year old in it last fall and she loved it. There are lots of sports to choose from, and the coaches were fabulous. She was just in a general pre- teen sports program, but I think this fall we'll go for a more specific sport, like skating. Good luck! Guest guest
There's special olympics, challenger league, LOTS of special needs gymnastics programs (I LOVE GYMNASTICS FOR AUTISTIC KIDS SOOOO MUCH. You can transition into integrated classes and it's awesome. But I was GOOD at gymnastics so I am biased), sometimes other leagues through the Y are appropriate... It's very individual based on hte child's interests and needs. > > Subject: sports > To: Autism_in_Girls > Date: Friday, July 25, 2008, 11:30 PM > is there any sports for kids with autism? i have a child > that i would lobve to get in to sports but have no idea > where to start! > > > > >
