Salmonella bacteria is part of the natural occuring intestinal flora of many

animals including the beautiful song birds in your yard that wake you up each

morning. If you are going to live in this world you are going to be exposed

to salmonella so your choice is to live in fear of it and sterilize everything

or strengthen your own body and immune system so even when exposed to

salmonella it won't make a difference.

please talk me down

We have chickens in our kitchen, temporarily, while we figure out where

to put them longer term. There's now an alert out on

salmonella-infected chicks in the area and I don't know what hatchery

these came from nor can I seem to find out; the nursery where I bought

them isn't returning calls. I'm keeping things as clean as I can but I

have a little girl who is cavalier about handwashing and after all they

ARE in the kitchen. Now of course I'm experiencing gastric upset (which

could be caused by a number of things) and I'm beginning to get

anxiety, as in where's my atavan anxiety. What can I do probiotically

to help? I'm already doing a lot of kefir and I'm about to mop the

floor with bleach solution. Keep in mind I'm a loose housekeeper but

this is making me freak because we just can't afford to be down with

salmonella.

Lynn,

In addition to taking probiotics, the best anti-viral, anti-fungal,

anti-bacterial agent I know is colloidal silver.

Colloidal silver (CS) is a broad-spectrum substitute for allopathic antibiotics,

said to kill over 650 pathogenic microbes. It does this by providing the

catalyst that disables the enzyme that all one-celled invaders use for oxygen

metabolism-in effect, " strangling " the microbes by cutting off their oxygen

supply. Although CS kills mostly viruses and bacteria, it does eliminate some

fungi, amoebas and protozoa too, depending on their cell structure. It won't

kill multi-celled parasites or worms, although it will kill the bacteria and

viruses living inside the parasites. Since these microbes are suffocated rather

than poisoned, they cannot mutate into resistant strains, as they do with

allopathic antibiotics. Pure silver colloid does not harm humans, animals or

plants.

I, as do many of my colleagues, regard colloidal silver as a nutrient. No one

has ever been harmed by taking properly made colloidal silver. I know people who

have not only stopped the flu cold in its tracks, but there are people curing

themselves of Lyme and even multiple sclerosis by drinking literally a gallon or

more of CS a day (often in conjunction with various forms of frequency

therapies).

You can pay top dollar for CS in the health food store, or make your own for

pennies, using a CS generator and distilled water.

Yeess, this is why I'm concerned. :) The nursery where I bought the

chicks called back and she says she doesn't know what hatchery the

chicks are from since she bought them at a feed store. She's going to

see what she can find out and in the meantime I'm just being extra

careful. I think I may get some disposable gloves for handling them and

their bedding. I've been washing my hands compulsively and bleached the

sink just a bit ago. But so far I feel a lot better; I may just have

had something in there that needed out. heh.
