Yes, mainly because I don't have access to young coconuts. I'm trying to

keep the carbs down too and the fermented stuff has just as much sugar, for

all intents and purposes, as the original medium, as I understand it :-(

Could you give me a slightly better idea of what you're looking for? A

supplement? If so, try Custom Probiotics. http://www.customprobiotics.com/

I've also had success at times (and yet not at others) with Flora

Balance. http://www.flora-balance.com/index.htm

Actually, I don't think coconut milk is made from young coconuts, but from

the meat of mature ones. It can still be problematically carby, though.

You must not have noticed that was in my " not doable " list :-) I think it's

a great product, but the owner will not sell to me. You probably don't

remember when I wrote about my experience with him 3 years ago. Here is part

I of that experience: http://tinyurl.com/clu38

Part II is that someone on this list forwarded my email to him and he

stopped shipment of the product in transit and told me something to the

effect that I was the worst customer he ever had. I don't know why anyone

would have forwarded my comments about the bad customer service to him

unless they perhaps hate dogs and wanted to harm my old dog who had colitis

at the time and for whom I was purchasing the product for at the time.

Imagine if someone forwarded all the emails we post to this list discussing

the pros and cons of a particular product to the distributor or

manufacturer. How many of those companies would stop shipment of the product

to anyone who discussed the cons of their product or service?

Anyway, as I said, I think the product is good, but the customer service is

the worst I've ever dealth with.

BTW, I find it interesting that they now do ALL shipments second day air and

even enclose a cold pack with each shipment. Hmmmm...seems like my concern

about receiving a 2nd day air shipment 5 days later wasn't far off the mark

after all.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I completely missed that part.

And sorry you had such a miserable experience. Harry can be a real PITA,

but his product is good and I don't know of any alternate suppliers, so I

still buy from him from time to time.

Hmm, OK, turns out Natren has some powders. Here's one example.

They also have dairy-free versions.
