Alice,

EM stands for Effective Microorganisms or Efficient Microbes, etc.

It contains several different beneficial microorganisms. You can

use it for everything from fermenting, to composting, to

odor " eating " ,to health tonics, to preserving, cleaning, etc. The

only thing I've done so far is start a Happy Farmer Composter and

use the EM diluted for doggie smells, cleaning bathrooms, mold,

mildew, etc. I hope to make an extension soon and experiment with

health tonics. Here are a few links with some info. There are also
