POLITICS libertarian solution for pollution

[] On the other hand, the libertarian recognizes no right to invade

anyone's property or person with pollution, in other words, in a

libertarian world there would be *zero* tolerance for any pollution that

spilled over to someone else's person and/or property.

[MAP] But how would you defend yourself against accusations of

inconsequential utopian prescriptivism here?

How does the private court thing work? It is something like " If you

guys don't do what that judge says, I'll drop by the next board

meeting with my shotgun... " or " If you guys don't do what that judge

says, me and all 20 of my friends are gonna stop buying your

products... " ?

[Chris] Just to interject here, 's view of private courts can

be dissociated

from the more general and more widely-held notion that environmental issues

should be viewed through the perspective of property rights and the defence of

person and property.

I'm not very educated on how either would work, [snip]

[MAP] Can I interpret that to mean you enjoy daydreams of

inconsequential utopian prescriptivism?

Got me thinking back to how incredibly quiet it was here outside with the no

fly after 9/11. Enough to realize there is always air noise even 50 miles

away from large airports. What about time pollution? No call and opt out

junk mail lists don't work.
