Guest guest
Re: wartlike skin Thanks Nenah and Cheryl and Connie for your prompt responses... The picture of planar warts looks closer to what the boy has, and possibly what the girl has as well. Thanks for the suggestion of duct tape...I wonder if teatree and coconut oil would do anything as well? Saw a site that was called " natural Oils " that claimed to eliminate warts with their oil products...I'm thinking maybe they have some combination of oils that I could more or less replicate....such as VCO and teatree. Any other thoughts? Thanks again... you know how kids are with their feelings about looking strange.. :-) ================= You're very welcome. The " big 4 " essential oils that I use -- by " big 4 " I mean EOs that have anti-viral, anti-bacterial, AND anti-fungal properties -- are eucalyptus, oregano, tea tree, and thyme. In fact, I have a mixture of these oils on hand for when I need them. My recipe is simple: mix the four in some carrier oil, such as unrefined almond or sesame. The tea tree is a bit strong, so I use fewer drops compared to the others. I'm not " scientific " about it, I mix it until it " feels " or smells right to me. I use this combo for my teeth. More diluted, I rub it into my dogs' gums with a Q-tip for gum infections. My elder dog hates to be prodded and poked (translated into dog language: have her nails trimmed or her mouth checked), but one time when her gums were really bad she actually allowed me to swab her gums regularly because she knew that it was helping her! By the way, speaking of essential oils and teeth, in an issue of Acres USA in the past year, there was a very interesting interview with a chemist. He said that glycerine, an ingredient found in virtually all toothpastes, is not the wisest ingredient to use because it's so sticky! It's used to make the toothpaste ingredients stick together, but it also helps bacteria stick to teeth as well! Believe it or not, he recommended soap. His studies showed that people who brush their teeth with soap have cleaner teeth (except for my friend who uses a glycerine-based toothpaste made by Young Living Oils and said she avoided gum surgery by using it). There are some homemade soaps out on the market that don't taste too bad or " soapy. " I used to use all sorts of esoteric healthy toothpastes. but have noticed that my teeth are indeed cleaner since I switch to using soap. I think, though, that some of the improvement is due to the " big 4 " EO combo which I also use. First, I wet my toothbrush and soap it up. Then I add about 3 drops of the Big4 mixture, and then brush. It does the job for me. Blessings, Nenah
