Guest guest
>>Most people have three stomach contractions per minute that mixes the food with enzymes and digestive juices to turn it into chyme which is the equiv. of pureed food. I'm utterly ignorant about this so perhaps this is unhelpful, but I'm wondering if there are massage techniques that might help? When my daughter had colic I had to press and massage her belly constantly (including holding her body on one hand above my head, eek) if she was to have any relief. Could there be a technique that simulates the three contractions per minute, perhaps while you're reading or singing to her, and perhaps that might also help with any neurological component? My massage therapist is wonderful overall and specializes in massage for otherwise insoluble medical issues, and I know she works on digestive problems. If it's not in the budget perhaps one meeting to learn techniques would be helpful?
