Can anyone suggests some good books about OCD? My daughter is 10 and just

learned the term OCD this year. She seems to have minor symptoms of OCD and has

been seeing a therapist for 2 years. I would like to find some books that she

can read to help her, but that won't trigger additional obsessive thoughts.

thx!

Some books that others have mentioned are:

What to Do When Your Brain Gets Stuck: A Kids Guide to Overcoming OCD

by Dawn Huebner,  Ph.D.

Up and Down the Worry Hill: A Children's Book about Obsessive-Compulsive

Disorder and its Treatment, by Aureen P. Wagner, Ph.D.

A Thought Is Just A Thought: A Story of Living with OCD

by Talley

Not as Crazy as I Seem, Harrar (novel for teens)

There are lots more books for kids. You might try Amazon or & Noble

website, they are pretty good for customer comments about the books.

It's not a recent release but Howie Mandel's Book " Here's theDeal " , " Don't touch

Me " , is a wonderful autobiography of his story of living with OCD. I read the

entire

book in a week. Could not put it down. It's for adult reading.
