Guest guest
My ND just sent me a link to a site where the sufferers of Lyme disease are taking salt/c to rid their bodies of the worms and bacteria they claim are related to the Lyme tick problem. They take 12-one gram tablets of salt and 12-1,000 mg tablets of vitamin C, spaced throughout the day for a month or two. Here's the link to one of the main pages although you need to click on a few of the photos of specific arhtropods and worms to get the full deal. http://www.lymephotos.com I write this because since February of this year (at least) I have had a parasite problem (among other things.) I say February because that's when I saw the marks of some kind of skin parasite -- I think it was maybe a horseshoe mite? I thought it was over and done with after using a wicked topical cream to kill it but blood microscope analysis showed a big increase in parasite activity in my blood since I came back from Hawaii. yech. So why am I writing this here? Well, I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this therapy of using rather excessive amounts of vitamin C along with excessive amounts of salt to rid the body of these things. One of the blurbs above a horrible picture of wormy things says: " Borrelia burgdorferi: Due to the overuse of antibiotics, bacteria have mutated. These bacilli were from a polyp in the small intestine of the lyme patient. The macroscopic (visible to the naked eye) size was quite a surprise. After about two months of treatment the colony of bacteria just seemed to let go and the specimens were found floating in the toilet. These were the first to be put under the microscope and the adventure began. From bacteria to nematomorphs, we were consumed with the discoveries. Creatures were dying. So desperate to leave the body, they literally came out of the skin, ears, eyes, from under the tongue, and in the urine and stool. " That is really just so gross but well, what do think? Would salt and ascorbic acid be the cure? How much would it harm you I wonder? I have very low blood pressure so I'm not worried about that particular effect of salt.. but.. Thanks. ~Robin
