Guest guest
Does anyone know of anything that helps prevent premature delivery? A friend of a friend has been pulled out of work due to pre-term contractions (She's not due until the end of February). She's a bit frustrated (and scared) since she's been eating well and seemingly doing everything right. What I've been told is that she's probably already doing high vitamin CLO, coconut oil, lots of eggs, salmon, liver, etc. Also, does anyone have the URL of the NN infant nutrition list? Thanks for the info . Here's what my friend says: " She is having " real " contractions, not Braxton Hicks, which is why she's concerned. Apparently the real ones will continue to soften her cervix and the baby's head is already positioned and pushing against her cervix. " Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc. Guest guest
Yes, many times the " real " contractions are getting the baby into position. I had TONS of contractions because my son was on the right side with his chin up instead of chin down in the center. Many times your body is working VERY hard to get them in the exact right position. If she knows the position she can work on doing exercises and sitting correctly to keep the baby in the right position. This can help to lessen those position contractions. I would still recommend rest & hydration. Basically staying away from what causes them...for some it is walking, others it is even emotional stress. Has she has actual cervical changes yet? Not sure if she has a OB or a midwife but I know there are something things you can do to help with lung development if early delivery is imminent. Thanks for the info .
