Massachusetts Harvest for Students Week is coming soon!  By proclamation of the Governor, schools kindergarten through college are encouraged to highlight locally grown foods on their menus during the week of September 24 - 30.  Special luncheons celebrating farms and school food services will be held during the Week as well.  Opportunities for farms include: finding one or more new school customers; having your farm's products highlighted by a chef doing a cooking demonstration for food service directors; contacting an existing school customer and suggesting that you do some joint publicity during the Week; attending one or more of the free luncheons (Cambridge, Worcester, Lee).  For help finding school customers, to sign up for a luncheon, or for more information, please contact the Mass. Farm to School Project at or kelerwin@....  Check out the Harvest Week website at www.massfarmtoschool.org.
