Allergy UK has awarded Aerstream Technology’s Cleanaer™ product its

highest accolade, the British Allergy Foundation Seal of Approval for the

reduction of house dust mite and cat allergens.

Cleanaer, the world’s first liquid ioniser, removes airborne particles

including pet allergens, dust mite allergen and pollen from the air and

has already transformed consumers’ lives across the UK.

In a simulated and controlled testing environment, Cleanaer removed 76%

of cat allergen, 69% of house dust mite allergen in a 17m3 room space,

which is about the size of an average bedroom. Cleanaer is the lowest

cost and the only battery-powered air purification device to be endorsed

by Allergy UK.

The Seal of Approval is awarded to products that are scientifically

proven to restrict or remove allergens from the environment.

Tiny invisible droplets that can float around for 40 min and enter your lung? I would rather use the good old methods: removing the source and using air filtration device. Matt,

I don't understand why you are so adamant about wanting discussion

on this.

IMHO, ioniozers, regardless of whether they're using air, liquid, or jello

for that matter, only serve to relocate particles by causing them to

more readily stick to other surfaces, including the respiratory system.

They don't trap them for elimination as a decent filter would. So,

instead of having a filter to change, you've got particulates (the ones

that weren't inhaled) stuck all over the place to be " cleaned up " later by

dusting, vacuuming, etc. This aerosolizes them all over again, and

provides another opportunity for them to enter the respiratory system.

It's like going from NYC to Miami via Salt Lake City. Not very efficient

or effective.

I have no place for ionizers of any type in my list of recommendations,

and this one is no different.

Exactly what I was thinking. First they were using ozone to help purify air and then found out it destroyed lung tissue. Who knows what side effects those droplets have on your health. It could remove 65% of allergens but might kill you. Why not open a window; vacuum; or put an air filter in your AC (not that they have too many ACs in England I guess.) More unknown chemicals in the air?

Does anyone know if the " British Allergy Foundation " is a legitimate

scientific organization? There are a number of sham foundations on

this side of the Atlantic that are merely veiled marketing ploys to

confuse the consumer.
