Any idea

Suze,

<crawls off to check>

(it just arrived yesterday)

mine looks all right. it looks like spaghetti sauce, where the

yellow-y, greasy stuff kind of rises to the surface. But no

discernable " specks " here. Tastes like...paprika?

You're right, maybe it doesn't have that chunky, fresh-n-fruity

goodness of the stuff at the conf...otoh my senses--and memory--may be

skewed.

Suze-

I got mine yesterday. I haven't scooped any out of the bottle or

tasted it yet, but I did notice that it looks lighter than the stuff

at the conference. There appear to be light yellow specks

distributed evenly through the whole thing, whereas at the conference

I remember larger, darker chunks which the Jungle Products people

called crystallized carotenes.

, Suze,

I stirred it up with a chopstick and now I see the yellow bits! No

big red chunks. I'm guessing there were temperature changes in

transit somewhere, either hot or cold, that account for it. Then

again, what do I know?

I'm sure you're right about the temperature changes and the

chunks/bits/specs/whatever. I don't know that that could account for

the lighter overall color, though.

That's what my guess is too . Like maybe they shipped it via Siberia

in a non-climate controlled cargo plane or something. I'm going to contact

them and let them know. I don't know if I'd keep ordering it, if it's always

like this.

Suze,

Let us know what they say, please. I'm thinking I'll go to Whole

Foods and sample a jar off the shelf--trying to think of a ruse...

I bought a jar yesterday at WF and there are light spots and a light

film at the top of the jar just like you guys describe. I can't say

the taste is ambrosial....but I didn't sample the conference product.
