I've noticed too that my favorite organic dark chocolate covered

almonds contain soy lecithin as an emulsifier! These are the only

things I eat that contain anything soy b/c I am very cautious about

that. But it certainly is frustrating. I have to have *something*

sweet and chocolaty every once in a while and I think organic dark

chocolate almonds are among my best bets. I wish I knew how bad the

small amount of soy lecithin they contain really is for me though!

Soy Lecithin (emulsifier). That would make it a bad thing, right? It's the

first processed type of thing I have bought and it's got soy in

it....marvellous! I suppose I will have to weigh up how much of it I am having

as a percentage of my diet. I noticed that Mercola even has soy flour in some

of his recipes. Are there any recipes in Nourishing Traditions that use soy

flour?

Lecithin is not a phytoestrogen. AFAIK, it's not the bad part of soy.

And how much are you going to get from a bit of chocolate? As for the

powdered milk, I'd be more worried about the damage to the milk from

the drying process than about a bit of Lecithin.

Thanks ,

That's made me feel a bit better. And as to the damage to the milk - I'm not

worried about that as yet. A case of what I don't know won't hurt me I think.

I'm not drinking it. I only add it to yoghurt and will be experimenting with

adding it to kefir. It's never solely on it's own, so hoping the best un-homo

stuff I can get will balance out the damage. Still casually searching for raw

milk....I hate the having my choices in milk and fluoridated water dictated to

me!!
