freezing yogurt

Does freezing kill lactobactillus? If I froze yogurt, could I use it later

to culture new batch?

I think the microbes should be ok. Bacteria survive freezing pretty well.

Shoot, they are thinking bacteria can survive outer space. And people

even freeze sperm and embryos. Bacteria survive in the soil every winter

in much of the world.
