We feel so blessed by our daughter Emmalie and feel

that she has the sweetest smile that God ever gave a

baby. We to focus on what she can do and not what she

can't or won't accomplish. Yes, we wish that she had

no dissability but we wouldn't trade her for a child

that didn't have one ( if you know what I mean) We

love and accept her just the way she is. We adopted

her and feel that God has blessed us by putting her in

not only our lives but our other childrens lives also.

They have learned so many Life's lessons by having her

in the family!

I will say though that some times it is very

difficult to get others to understand why we " chose "

to live a life with a child like Emmalie. When

confronted with that , we often just say " Why

wouldn't we want to? " Even family members don't

understand it. No we aren't saints by any stretch of

the imagination. In fact we think that we are really

selfish in that we just love to watch her as she

explores her world in awe, when she smiles and laughs

the wonderful sound that it is. She trusts us with all

of her heart and loves us with no boundaries. So we

are really the lucky ones to know such a relationship

with a child.

Sorry to go on and on....

Dana
