Guest guest
Whenever mine gets like that, I leave it completely uncovered at room temp in a gallon glass jar for about a day, and the stink goes away. > > > > Help! She said that it is standard practice to offer minerals (kelp) and cracked corn and a small amount of oats while milking and that the cows will take what they need. So she says that without the usual cracked corn mixed in the fish meal (kelp) would be a larger percentage of the supplement and may cause the milk to smell taste fishy. The other thing was though that it was sour as well, but they do go to another city for the day and have the milk in coolers all day which may have compounded the situation. Now is this standard practice to feed the cows cracked corn, kelp and a small amount of oats while milking? Thanks, Sandy
