Yeah, I'm betting that it's gone too. Living with 8 cats makes it very

clear how vulnerable raw meat is when left out. :D

Baby it's long gone! ;) I'd eat it.

[] please tell me I'm just being paranoid:

I left a raw steak on my counter this morning at 8am in a marinade of

kefir, tamari, and chopped garlic. The marinade doesn't submerge the

steak...it comes about halfway up the side, but I turned it once or

twice. I will arrive home around 6pm. I meant to put it in the

fridge before I left, but I forgot. It'll be ok to eat, right? I'm

going to lightly sear it. Then again, the katz might have gotten to

it...

[MAP] Yup, just paranoid! :-) Without the marinade, I'd say a day or

two is a safe bet at room temp, and with the marinade, probably a week

or so, but that's just guesswork.

Well, better than tossing it, right?

Besides, I think of it more as " sharing the joy " . But NEVER stupidity.
