Guest guest
Happy New Year to all! Just hoping everyone will have a great year. Wes is weaned off of the Zonegran. He is now taking Lyrica, Trileptal, Lamictal, and the VNS. Lyrica is the newest med. Sometimes I feel we will never find the right med. Brain surgery is out the question. Tho I did read some info about stem cell research for epilepsy. Don't know if that will help our kids. Wes is still happy and gets irritated when he has the little jerks. I have seen less of those since the Lyrica. On average he has about four " knock down " seizures.(generalized seizures) tho he is conscious. Did you know that some kids can have more seizures around meal time? We asked our neuro about that. He said yes that is possible. Weird huh? Hey do any of your kids have close friends? The only friends he has are those from school. He is almost like an only child. His sister did play Nintendo game cube games with him over the holidays. Wes enjoyed that. Well I need to run. Happy New Year to all. Patty, mom to Wesley(fourteen yrs. old, going strong and happy. (pmg, seizures and the rest)
