Guest guest
HI . Initially, it seesm to me and to all of us, that his unwillingness to lose the sugar, speaks volumes about the seriousness about this entire endeavor. Sugar is acidic, and we must take tremedoes strides to stay body alkaline (but gut acidic!). What do you eman by the 'whole NT thing'? I'm sorry but you have me at a disadvantage with that term. In teh menatine, I wil answer from the the most simplistic, to a bit more - involved, biochemically. real vitamin E is w/o question. THis can be from foods of food form supplements. Butter oil or cream are excellent, from teh animal source POV. From the plant kingdom, wheat germ oil, pea vine juice, pumpkin seed oil - are excellent sources. No doubt there are others, but don't need to make long lists here. Zinc. Very impt, Well documented. Sperm & seminal fluid is high in zinc and Vitamin C. But the real stuff. Not synthetic lab derived molecuar analogs. herbally, tribulus and Tillandsia (spanish moss). Again, I have no doubt there are many others. Parhaps maca and suma & maura pana (pretty sure not spelled right) also are pos. in this area. That can be easily researched. No doubt there are many others in the ayurvedic, american indian, chinese/japanese. Essential oils: clary sage may help. Ylang Ylang has an interesting history, which can be researched. Emotionally: make sure he WANTS his boys to be both mobile and fertile-this cannot be discounted as a very potent possible source of trouble. Guest guest
Insulin resistence negatively effects male fertility. Best ways to counter it? reducing processed sugars and refined carbs and a regular exercise program. So yeah, sugar is bad for fertility. Saturated Fat is also said to enhance fertility, that's if its part of a balanced diet though, and not on top of a terrible diet. That would be a recipe for weight gain and health problems. CholeSTERol is a STERoid and a precursor to androgens like testosterone. Liver's a good fertility food. Soy products (full of phytoestrogens) also reduce male fertility, and negatively effect testosterone levels. Maca is also a product that may help. do a little research and talk about it with him, but get him to become proactive and do most of the research himself because if he's not interested in it and seeking it himself, then it's mostly gibberish he's hearing, about 1.5 ideas at a time is the max most people will take away from a 'lecture'. > > Hello, > I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for increasing a man's > sperm count and motility. Guest guest
What do > you eman by the 'whole NT thing'? NT is " Nourishing Traditions " , you know, eating according to the principles in the " Nourishing Traditions " cookbook. Thanks for your ideas. He really really wants to be a daddy bad, so in a way, this issue may be the thing that finally makes him take his health and eating habits seriously. I hope anyway. He already thinks soy foods are ridiculous, not for the right reasons, but at least he doesn't eat them. Soy products are never in our house. > > Maca is also a product that may help. Thanks for the tip--I'll look into that. >
