Guest guest
I just wanted to let you all know what a wonderful experience the conference was! Several of the lectures were excellent, the food ranged from good to excellent, including all the goodies the Amish farmers were selling, the hotel was beautiful (although they seem to have a problem with their key system - I went through 5 or 6 keys over the weekend!), and hooking up with some of the folks on this list and meeting other like-minded folks was priceless :-) I realized that for most of us, only a fraction of our personality comes out on the list - it was such a pleasure to have fuller interactions with some of our listmates. There were MANY more vendors than last year, and we got a chance to sample the best palm oil I've ever tasted from Jungle products. It's from African wild palm trees and has a very distinct smell and taste. International Ag Labs also had a rep there (Jon - I think he's co-owner of the lab now) who was promoting their high brix garden kits which allows anyone to have a high brix garden, as they have a systematic individualized program that they send you based on your soil sample. And the cost seemed very reasonable to me. For more info: http://www.highbrixgardens.com/ There were a lot of Amish vendors selling all kinds of raw dairy products (kefir, yogurt, colostrum, milk, butter, ghee) and meats as well as fermented products like kombucha, kimchi and sauerkraut. The Eisentein brothers were there again with their incredible lacto-fermented drinks like ginger ale and root beer. I bought a ginger *tonic* from them that that blew me away. It was extremely potent and unbelievably tasty. I gotta run now, but there were many, many more vendors with all sorts of goodies - it's always a bit shocking to see a room full of food that you can eat. LOL I didn't take notes at any of the lectures, but I'm hoping will post his like he did last year. If not, there were some interesting points from some of the lectures that I'll post later when I have more time. Suze Fisher Lapdog Design, Inc.
