Anyone know about this? ivi, Raw milk is sold at a buying club in Venice on Wednesdays 12 - 8 PM and Saturdays 9 - 12. The location is Rose Avenue between 6th and 7th. It's adjacent to the coffehouse. There is a $25 annual membership fee. The milk is from PA and is indeed better than what you can buy in the stores. The cream is also very good, make sure to try it. Oh, and don't forget your checkbook. B.
Guest guest
I think they sell milk from Organic Pastures at most local health food store. At least that is what I have heard. I get that milk shipped all the way to FL. I have heard the Clarvale Dairy has some of the best milk in CA. I only wish they shipped. Yes, you want the full fat milk. The advantages are in the butterfat. Raw milk in LA,CA region? Hello! I couldn't handle milk for the longest time but seem to be doing ok with Kefir. Tastes great and I haven't exprienced any cramping, plus I had to give it a shot since all my experiments with water based drinks or nut milk drinks have been a bust. I heard from someone who heard from someone that the best Raw milk was sold in a place in Venice Beach a few days a week only. Anyone know about this? Or any sources other than whole foods? I currently use Trader Joes Organic pasturized cream top milk but would like to use raw. Are there any disadvantages to using lower fat milk or any advantages to using whole milk? ivi
Guest guest
How much does the milk and cream go for. I switched off raw milk when Whole Foods ran the price up, TJs Cream top has been doing pretty well and if it tastes better than the 'young grass' taste of OP I'd be very happy. > ...I heard from someone who > > heard from someone that the best Raw milk was sold in a place in > Venice Beach a few days a > > week only. Guest guest
Adam, > How much does the milk and cream go for. The milk is $11.50/gallon. $6/half-gallon in plastic and $9/half-gallon in glass. I *think* the cream is $10/pint for heavy and they also have light cream, not sure the price. I switched off raw milk when > Whole Foods ran the price up, TJs Cream top has been doing pretty well > and if it tastes better than the 'young grass' taste of OP I'd be very > happy. Did Whole Foods " run the price up " ? or did OP raise their price, do you know? The milk at the buying club tastes vastly better than OP milk, though some of the gourmand members on this list are not impressed. While I wish you every happiness, you won't be saving any money on milk, if that's your goal. B.
