Guest guest
For those of you in LA who want a free blood test. I'm not sure who qualifies as " at risk " . ================================= This free celiac blood screening is available for “at risk individuals” during Celiac Disease Foundation’s Annual Education Conference & Food Faire on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles at the Moseley-Salvatori Conference Center, which is located next to the hospital. The screening will take place from 10:00 am 3:00 pm and will be located in the lobby next to registration. If you or someone in your family has been diagnosed with celiac disease, this is a wonderful opportunity for other family members to be tested even if they have no symptoms. One out of 133 people in the U.S. is affected with celiac disease and CD occurs in 5-15% of the offspring and siblings of a person with celiac disease. The longer a person goes undiagnosed and untreated, the greater the chance of developing malnutrition and other complications. Taking the step to be tested now could prevent more serious health issues in the future. Advance registration is required by all participants. To register and see if you qualify as “at risk” call 818/990-2354. Participation in the blood test does NOT include registration for the conference or validated parking. Separate admission is required to attend the seminars or visit vendor exhibits. Heidi Jean
