Guest guest
WOW! Just a couple days after SLOOOOOWLY easing myself back into this diet and I can NOT believe the difference!! Yesterday we had roast pork, baked potatoes, carrots and parsnips and salad. Now usually I would enjoy this meal immensly until maybe half an hour later when my IBS would act up and I'd fall asleep on the couch thanks to Chronic fatigue. I don't have much NT stuff in the house right now (shopping on Saturday will fix that) but what I did was puree the carrots and parnips (with tons of butter), made my own salad dressing with organic dijon mustard, EV olive oil, raw wine vinegar, fresh cracked black pepper, fresh chives and a titch of flax oil (I wanted to add some cultured cream but I wont have that til the weekend), and I served my 5 month old ginger carrots with the roast. It was SOUR but sooooo good! Even my husband who thinks fermented stuff is gross scarfed it! And my 20 month daughter loved it too! And not only did I NOT get sick in the slightest, I had SO much energy I felt like running aroung the yard 10 times! LOL. I have the chance to go to a decent health store saturday so I will stock up (where we live there's not a decent health store near enough to go to, there is one that has some stuff, like diodynamic whole yogurt and good salt, but it's in the next town over and by the time hubby gets home from work, it's cosed (I don't have a drivers licence). I can't wait to start culturing again!! I am going to make creme fraiche ASAP, I'll have to use regular commercial buttermilk to start it, but soon I'll get the Fil Mjolk culture from GEM to make it with. I hear cream cheese made from Fil Mjolk is delicious, I can't wait! no fear, only faith; no guilt, only grace; no pride, only praise; no claim, only Christ --------------------------------- Find your next car at Canada Autos
Guest guest
, I have the Fil Mjolk culture from GEM and love it. What do you know about it? Is it a probiotic? Noone seems to know. It is addicting and I use it in all my baking too. Thanks, Juli --- Siemens <amandasiemens@...> wrote: > WOW! Noone seems to know.<<< I thought all dairy cultures were probiotic! Am I mistaken? I was looking forward to this culture but I'm not going to spend money on it if it isn't even probiotic! Does anyone have any info? no fear, only faith; no guilt, only grace; no pride, only praise; no claim, only Christ --------------------------------- Find your next car at Canada Autos
