Guest guest
hi, well, it's that time again; time for the big gal here to go underwear shopping. sigh. which, i have to say, is worse than swimsuit shopping. i'm not sure if it was here on this site...but someone a year or so ago told me about a place or two on line to get brassieres for big gals that actually FIT and are COMFY; i have been tempted at times to forego the social norm and just go braless, at my age and size, lol, not pretty and much to everyone's horror, i'm sure, but i can't BEAR these horrible, stretched out contraptions that no longer fit and are the bain of my daily existence any longer... any help anyone can offer...PLEASE!!! forgive the gross OT but i don't know where else to turn...desperation brings me to post here. of course you can always email me privately. probably a good idea!! laura p.s. by the way, someone here a year ago DID recommend Winter Silks for undergarments in the way of a split skirt slip for thigh chafing...again, sorry for the additional disturbing mental image, but i wanted to express my eternal gratitude to whomoever you were; i just placed another order to them yesterday, my fourth or fifth. Guest guest
, Try this search link I just did on Google: http://www.google.com/search?q=natural+fiber+clothing & hl=en & lr= & start=10 & sa=N Also, there's a company in New Jersey called Janice's. They sell all natural fiber clothing and might have bras. There's also another company that I know has comfortable bras and if I find their catalogue I'll pass the info along. Thanks for the tip about the slip, by the way...It's just what I needed. Blessings, Nenah OT--big girl comfy bras--WARNING hi, well, it's that time again; time for the big gal here to go underwear shopping. sigh. which, i have to say, is worse than swimsuit shopping. i'm not sure if it was here on this site...but someone a year or so ago told me about a place or two on line to get brassieres for big gals that actually FIT and are COMFY; i have been tempted at times to forego the social norm and just go braless, at my age and size, lol, not pretty and much to everyone's horror, i'm sure, but i can't BEAR these horrible, stretched out contraptions that no longer fit and are the bain of my daily existence any longer... any help anyone can offer...PLEASE!!! forgive the gross OT but i don't know where else to turn...desperation brings me to post here. of course you can always email me privately. probably a good idea!! laura p.s. by the way, someone here a year ago DID recommend Winter Silks for undergarments in the way of a split skirt slip for thigh chafing...again, sorry for the additional disturbing mental image, but i wanted to express my eternal gratitude to whomoever you were; i just placed another order to them yesterday, my fourth or fifth. Fancee Free are the brand I use; they have no underwires but are still supportive. Pretty comfortable all things considered. You may also be thinking of Decent Exposures, which makes leisure-style bras. I don't find them as supportive for large cup sizes but for other folks they work great. Guest guest
For comfy organic cotton bras try Blue Canoe: http://www.bluecanoe.com. Not sure how large they go though. Guest guest
Wow, i'm so impressed with all your answers; i've got a lot to go on now. i'll let you know how i make out...will take awhile from perusing to ordering to receiving. thanks SO much! this is such a supportive place to be, even if this might be inappropriately OT! laura p.s. i wish i could just live in my nightie til it comes in the mail...in the old days, we would just wear robes or saris or something ancient and drapy? must have been nice, for that reason alone. despite the inconveniences of ancient life. actually i have no idea what i'm talking about. --- In , " daphneb10 " <biophile410@y...> wrote: > For comfy organic cotton bras try Blue Canoe: > http://www.bluecanoe.com. They have a couple of others that do have more support but haven't tried them.. Since i started having trouble with exema last year i have trouble wearing ANY bra and tend to wear loose undershirts. http://www.decentexposures.com/ Kathy A.
