Guest guest
Lynn, I have found a wonderful alternative to grain, using almond flour to make muffins, etc. Just do a search on the net for almond flour recipes, and you will find some wonderful ones. My favorite is the Almond Pumpkin muffins. I eat one with my eggs for breakfast every morning and it holds me till noon. This was unheard for me, to be able to go without a snack in the morning. Also, nothing like making a big batch of homemade chicken stock, then adding in veggies, rice, etc., will feed a whole family for a few nights. I always use 2 or 3 chicken feet too, because this creates a lot of gelatin, which would really help heal your child's stomach. Juli Hi-- I have a very hard time getting her to eat anything made with homemade chicken stock; she says she doesn't like my stock, which is weird because everyone else raves over it. Guest guest
My kids wont eat it if I have cooked it with veggies, they like it plain, maybe she detects a veggie taste? No, I think it's a " mom made it " thing. She's just decided she doesn't like it, because it doesn't seem to matter how I make it, if she knows it's homemade she won't even try it. She'll eat other things of mine, just not broth. She'll eat it in things she doesn't know it's in, so I'll just have to keep doing that sort of thing, I guess. (Note to self: brew >k-tea today...) I know I'm a broken record on this, but pick up a copy of _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall. You'll do your daughter a huge favor. -
