Hi , this is only my 2 cents, and forgive me if this is not

what you want to hear, but why would you want to remove dandelions

from your lawn?

i just love them; a beautiful green lawn dotted with yellow? plus

you can eat the greens and dig up the roots and use them for i forget

what. (liver cleanser?)

plus, and someone correct me here, i think certain weeds are present

for a reason...(conditions are just right for them to grow) but i

think with dandelions, they send down very, very deep tap roots thus

bringing more minerals to the surface of the lawn or something.

maybe i'm in the minority but i just love dandelions; their look and

their function.

Hi :

I too like Dandelions, it is my neighbors who are heavily objecting as the

seed is " wrecking " their lawns. vsp

geez, victoria, that's a tough one. they confronted you with that

one, eh? i hope they were nice about it.

i for one would never have the nerve to ask my neighbor to eradicate

something growing on their property because the seed was coming over

to my property and wrecking something.

what about your rights? what if you grew dandelions on purpose

because dandelion wine was a family favorite, and maybe you even had

a prize winning recipe? would you have to give up dandelion wine so

they can have a 'perfect' lawn? am i sounding ridiculous?

isn't it their problem? will you make a life long enemy if you do

nothing? did you promise them you would do something about it and

now you have to follow thru?

what if you put together some kind of print-out off the internet

about the benefits of dandelions and gave it to them, in a friendly

way, maybe with a bottle of wine or something? or maybe a really

good bottle of dandelion wine, also ordered off the internet? if

they like it maybe they might change their minds about wanting to

eradicate them, on your property or theirs, LOL!
