" .A Crowd of 15 people...in Riyadh... " .. Before,I came,we had asked Poonam(82) and Shivkumar about this place...and they said ... " Shyam,some of the streets..in business centres...of Riyadh,resembled...those in BIG APPLE..and CP...district of New Delhi..EXCEPT " ...and the line went dead.. After many yrs..it has dawned upon..me..that they meant... " No people..on the streets... " Truly,Ravin...Imagine...a 8am-11am scene at a busy Churchgate/VT station of Mumbai...and then just erase mentally...the commuters on the roads...running to cross the streets or those running, to get out of the Rly station..once it reaches the station...,and u will get the picture of Riyadh... All buildings have underground and huge...4 storied..carparks...in each locality..and so they zoom into the buildings..park and travel upto their offices.. Even at lunch time...with indoor cafeterias..in each building...and the afternoon beating sun....that too is a...quite quite affair...unlike..at Nariman pt...where the pavbhajiwala...to...Jhunka Bhakar stalls....move into topgear dishing out premium stuff...to all the white collared...guys and gals... Strange..for someone..who has...been a Mumbaikar...at heart...and mind... Bye. Shyam(84) Re: Photos of Riyadh Shyam, those are nice photos.
