Guest guest
and Harv, After the rough week Crystal has had, it may be peace of mind to know she will be in the hospital for a couple of days even if it's just for " tweaking " . Undoubtedly you and Harv would not get any rest, watching for any changes in her condition all weekend long. This way you have her right there for the doctors and nurses to keep an eye on her as she improves. Based on your posts the past few days you two sound like a very caring, loving couple. You guys get some rest (I know, easier said than done) and continue taking care of each other and your precious Angel. Penny wrote: Bad news. They're keeping Crystal over the weekend because of her blood counts. Both her white blood cells & her platelets are low. They're hoping to correct the imbalance by tweaking with her seizure meds. They're pretty sure that it's the seizure meds that are causing the imbalance. Their 1st step is to decrease the amount of felbatol that she is taking. That is a very harsh AED. I wasn't really for them giving it to her, but at the time it was the only way to go. Wish us luck. Harv is worried, as he doesn't want to miss any more work. I'm hoping that they'll discharge her sometime Sunday instead of us having to wait until Monday. We totally appreciate everyone's prayers & good wishes. That makes all of this so much easier to bear... With all of our love to everyone & their Angels ! Guest guest
Chris: Sorry to hear that Crystal had a little set back. I don't doubt for a second that you are at your wits end. It seems life just keeps throwing you guys curve balls. Hopefully, in the big picture of things you'll be able to look back on this time as " a bump in the road of life " . I learn so much from the wonderful caring parents dealing with these harsh issues. You and Harv sound like such awsome parents and I am so happy that Crystal has you to love and care for her. I'll pray for Crystal's doctors that they can figure all this out as well as strength for you and your family. Take care of yourself as best you can. Guest guest
, actually the weekend doctor came by her room before & told Harv that they might spring her today. Her platelets are up. Right now she's sleeping soundly, so we snuck off to grab some lunch. Thank you, Penny for the kind wishes. To everyone else who have sent their support, thank you all so very much ! With love to you all & your Angels... Harv, Crystal Aquielle, and family

Guest guest
I wanted to thank everyone for their continued support. Crystal is very much back to her normal self. Unfortunately, she has resumed having seizures. They have changed form. Now she is having tonic clonics, in which her hands clench into claws & her body jerks. We haven't observed her having any other types of seizures, which is a good thing. I'm sorry to read that other children are also having problems with seizures, undefined spells, and g-tube issues. I will keep all of you in my thoughts & prayers. With love to you all...
