Kraut/Kimchi & Avian Flu: Mainstream Ignorance

Should we expect anything but?

Due to the large amount of German-Americans in Wisconsin we have a lot

of sauerkraut made here. All canned or otherwise cooked to death, of

course. Well here's a Milwaukee paper interviewing a local kraut

manufacturer regarding recent reports that kimchi helps birds recover

from avian flu...and touting their canned, dead kraut as if it would

confer the same benefits! I highly doubt it would be nearly as effective

as real kraut or kimchi.
