Thanks! > ~~Carolyn Hi Carolyn, Last fall, I did a parasite cleanse based on the recommendations of a health care practitioner who is up on this way of eating. In addition to taking a tincture that contained classic anti-parasitic herbs like wormwood, she had me chew 2 tablespoons of fermented raw organic short grain brown rice every morning. Apparently, parasites HATE this. Starches normally should not be eaten raw, of course, but this is an exception - and you only do this for a week or so. To prepare the rice, you first grind it in a coffee grinder, then you soak it overnight in enough water to cover with a bit of lemon juice. You can do up enough for a few days, storing it in the fridge. Be sure to chew it well (the finer you grind it in the coffee maker, the easier that will be). I can't say that it was pleasant, but I think it helped. Pumpkin seeds are a classic anti-parasitic food. She had me eat a small handful every day, soaking and drying them first, of course. I never saw anything 'nasty' come out of me, like some people do, but I felt much better when the cleanse was over with. I was also told to avoid sugar (I already was) and limit or elimate fruit during that time. Anti-candida recommendations, basically.
Guest guest
Yeah, unfortunately I have problems with milk AND coconut/coconut oil. Mercury poisoning and gluten allergy have made me really sensitive and I've only just had my amalgams out this fall. > Coconut oil or the milk, which did it for me even though I had no clue. How did you find out you had a problem with coconut? Can you get tested for this? I get this wonderful raw organic coconut cream and it tastes like heaven but if I eat more that a couple teaspoons I start to feel like I have the flu. I feel really spacey. The Aagonus camp says this is just detoxing but I am suspect because it seems any time something makes you feel bad it is detoxing. Any idea?
