Guest guest
I started eating NT style about March of last year (2003). I also supplemented with Primal Defense and tons of probiotics. At first I felt awful; I think it took about 1 month of " die-off " symptoms to help eliminate the candida overgrowth, which I believe was the cause of many of my problems. During that time I had migraines (not typical for me), lethargy, insomnia, and would swing from constipation to diarrhea. After about a month, the severe symptoms were gone. During the summer, I began experimenting with lower carb, NT style eating, making sure I ate about every 3 hours. This seemed to help with the fatigue, etc. During that time, I was being monitored carefully with visits to my allergist every 6-8 weeks. At each visit, I would taper off, or eliminate another medication, and we'd monitor my asthma symptoms. I have to admit to being surprised at how few symptom flare-ups I noticed coming off my meds, especially since summer/fall are my worst seasons for allergies. By October, I was off all meds, and had lost about 12 lbs. My energy level was pretty consistently good, and I had no asthma symptoms. Our family did get a cold/virus in December which was going around locally. However, while our peers suffered for 3-4 weeks, and ended up missing work, taking antiobiotics (!!), we were all over it in about 5-6 days. I definitely know my immune system is stronger; I used to be the first to get sick, now I'm the last. And I've had friends and family comment on improved skin and muscle tone. I'm still fine-tuning this for my needs, but I'm overall happy with it. If someone would have told me an NT-style diet change would do this, I would have tried it years ago ! Good luck to you ! Rebekah Re: General Question for you folks, please. After adding raw dairy to our diet, I got rid of my allergies and asthma, for which I had been on steroids, inhalers, antihistamines, etc. for 9 years. My son also had relief from his allergy symptoms. As far as the safety issues go, check out the realmilk.com website and the WPF website for multiple articles/info to refute the concerns. Guest guest
I second 's thanks for what u have shared. I have seen lots of progress myself, but still have this cat allergy hanging on. I used to be on 3 inhalers 24 hours a day, but now I can exercise and do most anything without my inhalers. Exception, cats and this week I got sick with a nasty respiratory virus. Plus I seem to get wheezy when I eat cooked food. I just ordered some liver on special from U.S. wellness meats 20lbs. at 5.17 a lb. - I'm curious to see how the raw liver affects me. R.P.
