Guest guest
Hi , Well, I was planning to use palm oil for cooking, frying especially at a bit higher heat than I would use, say, coconut oil. I'd use it like lard but when I didn't want the taste of bacon in the food.. I thought it would be nice to have another oil to choose from. I'm curious as to its flavor? ~Robin
Guest guest
Robin, a friend of mine ordered some from TT and she said it turns everything orange. it IS a lovely orangish reddish color. the TT web site says palm oil is very high in vit. e and they recommend it for cooking. i wrote to them and asked them...doesn't that destroy the vit E? she said no, Vit E is very heat tolerant. i find that very hard to believe. i didn't think any vitamins were NOT destroyed by heat. laura > Hi , Well, I was planning to use palm oil for cooking, frying > especially at a bit higher heat than I would use, say, coconut oil.
