Yes, water purification is a jungle. I have the Radiant Life 14 stage

system. It works well, but like all Reverse Osmosis systems it's pretty

slow. Just got my water tested and this system does take out everything

as it should while adding in a little calcium. The hardest thing to get

comfortable with is the price, but for the peace of mind it's worth it.

And it won't bring your body's pH down like a plain R.O. system would.

Good luck & Let me know if you have any other questions.

Welcome, Karla.

I rent so I can't install an under-the-counter filter. I got a

countertop reverse osmosis filter which can be found at

www.naturessunshine.com (mind the double s or you'll be taken to a

junk site).

It's the same filter recommended by Sally in the back of NT, under

Ozark Water, but I don't know if Ozark is still around.

I've had the countertop filter for years and send it back periodically

for maintenance (replace the membranes, etc.). I know it's not as

good as the RL filters. But the water does taste good.

Good luck,

DB

+++Hi Cassandra,

I believe there is too much fear mongering over what is in our water. And of

course many companies profit from it by selling water or water systems.

I think we must " pick our battles " wisely. It is much more important to obtain

all of the natural minerals in water than to avoid it even though there may be

contaminants. If your body gets " proper nutrients " it very easily detoxifies

such contaminants.

Also reverse osmosis water leaches minerals from the body, and there are no

processed minerals that can possibly duplicate Mother Nature's minerals.

People on this group who switched over from reverse osmosis water to Britta

filtered tap water found their health improved in a couple of weeks.

All the best, Bee

See http://www.directive21 dot com. This is just one of the distributors for the

Berkey water purification units. (I'm not affiliated with them; I'm just a

customer.) I recently bought one of these units and I love it! It removes the

contaminants without removing the natural minerals. The " black Berkey " filters

remove almost everything but there are separate kinds of filters for removal of

fluoride and arsenic. I'm using both kinds of filters.

>> Dottie - have you had your water tested before and after the Berkey

filtration system? How do you know when to change the filters? What is it you

'love' about this system?
