Guest guest
An on going Neonatology meet at Pune was the bahana. 5 oldies from MGIMS got together: Bharat Thakre 73 Vikas Kulkarni 73 Sunil Taneja 74 Pradeep Joshi 74 and Kishore Shah 74 Can you believe it..... but the first topic to be broached by this august gathering (not by me) was the one which I wrote about in 'The Dark Secret'. Out of these 5, only one is net savvy, and no marks for guessing who. Thus I told them, " What a coincidence! I have just written about this a week ago on our MGIMS group. " The only difference was that the thing that I called a 'Choc-o-bar', was referred to as 'Oral Penicillin' by one of the old salts. After that, we embarked on a nostalgic journey peppered with a few printable and mostly unprintable episodes of our life in MGIMS. All of us unanimously agreed that our lives ended at MGIMS. After we passed out, all we did was got married, had kids and printed money. But we stopped living the moment we stepped out of MGIMS. All the friends that we have in life are from that era. The ones we made later are all business associates, and not friends. When I told them that the newer batches were having great difficulty in getting batchmates to attend the Silver jubilee of their batches, they were amazed. In fact, all of us are eager awaiting our Golden Jubilees, Coronaries permitting. I have added a couple of photos of that meet to our album. Interested people can browse through them and see how we have aged gracefully. Kishore Shah 1974

Guest guest
Hi Kishore, It was so nice to see the photos of all of you. I will request everybody doing neonatology to join the group of 'MGIMS Neonatology Group' & let everybody know what are you doing. We can plan USA Neonatology re-union. I have been a passive member but always enjoy cartoons and other topics from everybody. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody.
