Dear Shyam and Irfan,

I think we have already set the ball rolling. Shyam and Vijayashree are

already in touch - the main aim now is to tap the networking capabilities of all

contactable batchmates, and personally talk to / mail all of them.

I'm not sure if I will be in Sewagram during the 83 batch reunion. Irfan, if

you are going for the reunion, can you collect the list of batchmates and

available contact info from Viju and send it to Shyam, Renuka, Nishi and me?

Since we seem to be seen fairly often on this group, we can start with us, and

each one of us can try to contact as many people as possible.

Going by Shyam's capabililities at unearthing and motivating alumni, and his

unflagging enthusiasm, he should easily surpass all of us in this venture !!

Dear Shyam, Irfan, Prabha

You should pick Poonam's brains for tips about tracing people; she did a

fantastic job for our reunion and managed to get in touch with almost everyone.

I found Google quite helpful as well.

I met up with Amol Kulkarni recently and he is aware of your reunion next

year. In fact, he is a member of this group so may be reading this anyway.

Thanks Nadu for the tip. Shall keep that in mind. I have noticed one thing

though, MGIMS couples attend the re-unions only for one batch, i.e like Anu from

NZ will not attend the meet this year coz she had attended one with Fali last

year. Well, people like Shyam are lucky to go for once only. I feel lucky and

would love to attend for both years. Nadu, 82 batch didnt invite me or else, I

would have been there too.!!! Had many friends like you.

And, Amol, if you are reading this, do make your plans for the reunion fast !

Do get in touch with Viju / Shyam / Renuka / Nishi / Irfan / Me - ASAP !

Irfan,

I am glad you and Prabha have already taken the initiative... Ashok thought

there was no one who could organize as SK ( our batch, thank you very much) is in

hidin/hibernating....

Shyam is miles away and Prabha is not in Sewagram. But now I can tell him the

good news that all the Atirathi, maharathis are organizers.

Arre yaar, Irfan. Tu to Bharat mein rehke firang ban gaya!!

Remember, friends don't have to wait for invitations, only a bit of advance

warning to prepare for their visit. But this seems to be a particular affliction

where 84 batch is concerned: Prabha and Shyam came to the UK but only told me

after they had left....what's the point of that?!!! And Ashok came over without

any warning and was left wandering in London on his own, when I was in the city

as well and could have met up with his earlier. So if you are heading this way

let us know in advance. And I'll remind my batch to invite you, as an honorary

member, for the 50th year reunion!!

Regards
