Guest guest
I investigated using azomite and all the sites I found mentioned it for farming and never found much about food quality so I didnot get a good feeling about it. I add minerals by cooking a batch of seaweed with carrots and onions every week or so. Use different seaweeds each time. I track mineral need with pH paper and iodine. Phil azomite as a mineral supplement? How to add minerals to your diet? Hi all; Does anyone recommend Azomite as a mineral supplement? I would like to add a mineral supplement to my diet, but I noticed that the Azomite element anaylysis sheet from the company's website has lead listed at 6.2 ppm (parts per million), although I am not sure what solution strength they measured. This concerns me, as our tap water regulations restrict lead to below 12 ppb (parts per billion). I do filter my water by reverse osmosis, to reduce chlorine etc. What do people use to add minerals safely to their diet? Thank you,

Thank you so much for your reply. I too feel uneasy about using a fertilizer that lists some unsavory minerals as a dietary supplement. What seaweeds do you use? I do have kelp and dulce that I try to remember to take, for their iodine content, as I don't use iodized salt. Best,
Guest guest
I use laver, dulse, arame or hijiki usually. Use a different one each time. They do have differing ratios of sodium and potassium. Phil Re: azomite as a mineral supplement? Guest guest
I buy them at our Whole Foods; actually a few I bought at another Whole Foods near one of my lyme doctors. Here's a website for one of the seaweed companies. http://www.seaveg.com/ Phil Re: azomite as a mineral supplement? How to add minerals to your diet?
