Guest guest
I don't actually know that it has anything to do with colostrum, but the timing fits. Two days ago I bought a bottle of Symbiotics Colostrum Plus powder (http://www.symbiotics.com/products/pluspowder.htm) and started having some in my evening yoghurt. Yesterday, I developed strange red marks on my upper stomach. They feel like bruises, they're sort of amorphous and blobby and they may be raised very slightly, but they're a uniform pinkish red, unlike an actual bruise. I didn't initially connect them to the colostrum, so I had more last night, and now the marks/bruises/whatever are more visible and more sensitive. Needless to say, I'll stop the colostrum immediately and see if that makes a difference, but I'm wondering if any of you have any thoughts or suggestions. I have taken colostrum before without any obvious effect, but I was using Jarrow's, which is encapsulated with all sorts of nasty fillers, so I was keeping the dose quite small. Symbiotics seems like the best brand, though -- colostrum from pasture-fed cows free of hormones, antibiotics and pesticides, low-heat drying -- so this is rather curious. The only other change that I can think of making recently is switching to Aveeno shower soap to see if that helped with the itching problem. It hasn't, but I don't know why I'd just react to it in one small area anyway. TIA, -
