Hi guys,

I went to my psychiatrist today and told him about PSSD.

He says in that it is in the head, and is because we had bad sex experiences while on SSRI's. He prescribed me Viagra so I can have some good sex experiences.

He also prescribed me Wellbutrin to try to give me a libido boost.

Next week I have to return, if it worked, and if not he will prescribe me Stablon, he has had some good experiences he said with SSRI & sexual problems.

I'll keep you updates, tomorrow I start the Wellbutrin.

Isn't it ironic that your psychiatrist blames psychological issues for your

sexual dysfunction yet relies solely on drugs to remedy this (when the way to go

if your problems were psychological would be psychotherapy)?

As for Stablon, it actually caused PSSD in my case (although in all likelihood,

SSRI use had set me up for it). But I'm not saying it might no work for other

people.

I've taken the Wellbutrin this morning + Xanax and I must say I feel rather

great. I've been dancing alone in my room for some time, lifting weights,

running around, beïng ablo to focus on my tabs of piano (normally I just saw the

2 lines of music flowing true eachother.

I also masturbated 2 times today, and must say the experience of orgasm has

amplified. Still have no libido,I think I'm just addicted to porn cause if I

don't I don't feel good or try to prove to myself I don't have PSSD.

What I also noticed is that stress plays a HUGE roll on achieving a erection.

When stressed I simply can't.

Bad sex experiences? I guess he refers to performance anxiety. I fyou are with

your partner and can't have penetration, something you can go through. Yet,

while masturbating or accesing stimulating content, we have the same problem.

Poor erections, low libido.So it has nothing to do with bad experiences. Those

" bad sexperineces " only turns into performance anxiety which can only become a

problem while with a partner.

I look forward to hearing your experience with Wellbutrin. Yet, I can't help

bothering if taking more antidepressant causes further damage. Good luck with

your new treatment, though.

Right now my experience today with Wellbutrin was wunderfull.

I jurked off 3 times today just to calm down (I'm hyperactive with Wellbutrin).

This I could do before!! Hope this stabilisez.

Before I had a hard time having a boner while watching porn. Now when I watch

it, it's there, after mild stimulation (took me forever before). Also I feel

much more excitement while jurking off. Was watching charmed today and I thought

" damn they are so hot! " .

Hope this effect doesn't wear off ...

So overall I could discribe day one as:

> I have loads of energie and want to start to do things (now it's 23:21 and I

feel like I still have energie left)

> My interest in sex increased (whould say 50% of what is used to be)

My docter also said that one problem could be memory and concentration failure.

He tested this with asking the question:

Yeah, my penis is completely numb because of "bad sex experiences" That makes alot of sense. NOT! These psychs really should try the practice of medicine, rather than being whores for Big Business.

Your psychiatrist cannot be sure about the presumed 'psychological' cause of

your sexual problems, since PSSD research has hardly been done.

If your sexual dysfunctioning would have only psychological causes, its

intensity would probably fluctuate with the amount of emotional distress in

time!

Reading this PSSD forum for a few years now, I have the impression that this is

not the case with most PSSD patients. That is a powerful argument against this

psychosomatic hypothesis to explain PSSD.
