I went straight to amazon when I was weighing up whether to buy the book

and this is one of the one's that influenced me against it. I only read

the bad reviews. Having skimmed N & PD and now having read much of NT

after getting it thru an Inter Library loan I tend to agree with parts

of the comment - only because I don't know how Price's recommendations

evolved into the ton of different recommendations for and against

various foods and whether Price would have agreed. The relevant studies

are listed, I know: it is expanding on Price's research. I was also

concerned with the pasteurisation part but discounted that as incorrect

after reading N & PD. I think NT does a VERY good job of outlining why

pasteurisation is not as wholesome as we have been led to believe.

Overall I disagree with the review. NT is the best that I've seen

because it covers ALL the bases and does not focus on one aspect eg low

carb or eat meat, whatever. Well you know that already.

I'd be interested to hear what you long-term WAPers think. I'm only a

newbie and a fake one at that!

the wanna be

she can talk the talk but can't damn well do it AND her life depends on

it. Grrrr

sorry, blabbering on again <roll eyes>

A mixed bag. I agree that NT is too friendly to sugar, but it seems pretty

clear that pasteurization is a major issue and is it even open to debate

that good fermented foods are very helpful?
