Guest guest
Hi Crystie, They are both sydromes where the child exibits repetitive movements, have sensory issues such as textures that bother the child, noises, changes to their environment. I would suggest going to the websites for Austim or Aspergers. They can give a more detailed description of what to look for. Also, the Yahoo groups for both of those will have parents that usually can give you more personal insite. Good luck Warm regards, Sharon T. Crystie wrote: NO THEY HAVENT WHAT IS THAT? Guest guest
its ok, i am just overloaded with stress right now and its not getting any easier ya know. it wasnt you that upset me, i just need support! thank you so much! if i could give you a big hug right now i would thank you again! anyway, thank you for helping me right now, i need all the help i can get!! > > Crystie honey, > I certainly did not mean to upset you. I was only suggesting that it sounded like my friends children. Please check out the website www.autism-society.org to see if it might be anything like they describe. In my opinion these yahoo groups are here in to offer caring support for all of us. Take a deep breath and lets see what we can find out. The more info you have once you figure out what is going on, the more powerful you are to help your child and in turn it helps you. > Sharon > > > Sharon > > >
Guest guest
Hi Crystie, Can you log into the chat program on the group website. It's on the left side of the screen. Everytime that I've logged in, nobody else is in the chatroom. I've just logged in and sometimes it helps just to be able to talk to someone. Guest guest
Hi Crystie, Sorry to hear about Dave. At least he will be in good hands and hopefully get started on seizure meds. My hubby was in denial that was having seizures at all. When he finally accepted that his episodes were seizures he felt he didn't have them often enough to go on meds. After a grand mal seizure that was only stopped after I administered Diastat rectally myself and the doctors convinced hubby that meds were the only option did we finally get on Depakote. Things have been great until recently. We have started to see some small break through seizures and with the valproic acid levels low our Depakote dose should be changing. Hugs and Prayers.
