I would like to know when do kids with PMG start to want to walk. Our son also rolled as a baby. He never really crawled. The physical therapist advised NOT encouraging walking, because crawling is very good for brain development. Even without encouraging him he began cruising at about 10-11m and walking at 13m. He ended up learning to crawl a little later, but he definately preferred to walk. Is your baby in physical therapy? Guest guest
This has been a really intesting thread and reassuring for me! Sophia only started crawling at 2.5 years and isn't pulling up yet. She has orthotics on both feet which has been great for her standing, which she can do with no support but holding on to something. We're starting to work more in her gait trainer but right now she mostly just pushes herself backwards, plus we have the seat in. We're feeling really good about it though and hopefully she will walk on her own eventually. > > Hi, > > My son evan is 2yrs and has bilateral perisylvan polymicrogyria and he > is progressing well.
