Guest guest
Gentlemen! It's not all mental....I speak from personal experience ! Those of you who are in your 40-s, 50-s, and above....do yourself a favor and perhaps save your life! If you are having "On Again/Off Again" erection problems, see a competent cardiologist as well as a urologist before you start blaming all problems on SSRI medications. Why? Because FREQUENTLY the first signs of CARDIOVASCULAR and/or PROSTATE PROBLEMS, are erectile (ED) problems. The blood vessels in the penile area are more narrow than those in the heart and are frequently the FIRST one to become more narrow and clog .Several simple tests can rule out such problem. If you have HIGH CHOLESTEROL....that's even more reason to see your cardiologist and/or urologist. If you are taking blood pressure control medications....those can case ED problems as well as many other medications you might not even realize. Just going to a doctor and asking for Viagra (or one of the other such Rx's) is NOT going to solve ED problems....contrary to what the slick TV and Men's Magazine advertisements tell you. Now, that being said....I experienced an almost total loss of LIBIDO after on Prozac (10mg.daily),for two weeks. Thanks to this site I got myself off the damn stuff and within days my libido gradually returned to normal. My wife of 25yrs. has been on Zoloft (50mg daily) for a number of years....she has (with doctor's guidance) is weaning herself off it. Her "bitchy" side is returning (LOL)....we'll see if her libido returns (It's been a total "Zero" for many years.). - Spring (Houston),Texas
