Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for sharing Ted's story with me. I am going to get 's MRI from his Neuro and send it to Dr. Dobyns for review. fits somewhat into the Lissencephaly catagory somewhat but we were never given that diagnosis, only the PMG. We always had trouble feeding even after hiring Speech Therapists who specialize in feeding. After a Swallow Study was done at 6 years old it was shown that 1/3 of what he ate and drank dropped into his lungs. We don't know how long this was happening since he only ever had pnemonia twice in his life. No wonder he was always coughing and sneezing during his meals! We had a feeding tube placed soon after the Swallow Study was done. Here in Califonia, when a child has a feeding tube you are given a certain number of nursing hours in your home. That has been a blessing for our family. What part of the UK are you in? My family is from Plymouth,Devon. Sharon T.
