It seems like a lot of us turn to food to provide us answers for what is going on with us (which I COMPLETELY understand....I do this all of the time, too), but is it always the answer? Sometimes I have to wonder. It seems like nightmares, for instance, can be attributed to so many things. Blessings, a

That was just one suggestion. But, food has so much to do with a whole lot of things and is a relatively easy and inexpensive thing to fix if it is the culprit. Cheers, Tas'. I wasn't even trying to particularly point at what was being discussed in this thread, as much as I was having a kind of philosophical moment. a
Guest guest
I have to agree...food is much less expensive to change than building a house using all natural materials, that will not outgas any VOCs. Or buying full spectrum lighting. Or throwing out all the clothes and attempting to buy only all natural fabrics. I have a dd who loses it if she is in polyester, and a son who can not handle the level of formaldehyde outgassing at the WalMart. A son who is so sensitive to mildew that he becomes " emotionally disturbed " (a nice way of saying he scares the sh** out of the rest of us!) While I slowly lose my health from living with mildew no matter what I do. Although the first thing we did was get rid of all the chemicals that we intentionally used (shampoo, laundry, dish soap. tooth paste, kitchen/bathroom cleaners, etc.)... But diet is still the easiest to manipulate... Catz On Tue, 4 Jan 2005 11:14:48 +1100, <sand8013@...> wrote: > >>>Sometimes I have to wonder. Guest guest
a, When I wake up from one of these things, my stomach is gassy and burning and sometimes I have a little acid reflux. So, yes, for me it's about food. Is it always? For everyone? Dunno. But I think it's possible that an overwhelmed liver could send lots of alarm and pain signals to the brain that would " recall " whatever bad feelings or ideas are grooved into our neurons
Guest guest
Hi folks, I have to chime in here about the nightmare/weird dreams stuff. I actually almost never had dreams, and THEN I started on the scd. Good grief!! For the first month to month and a half I was having very VIVID dreams, and although they weren't nightmares, many of them were weird or strange. These dreams were so vivid that I would sware they really happened, and the colors were brilliant too. Someone mentioned at the time that " a change in dream habits " was a real sign of " die off " and it really IS! I was going through a lot of die off when I started that diet, and my dreams reflected it. Believe me, I would never have believed it if it hadn't happened to me. After that time my dreams became " normal " . Amazing that what is going on in the gut affects what is going on in the head, but then again, that is exactly why autistic kids are doing so well on the scd. Sorry, I don't mean to sound like I'm pushing a diet, lol, but I just wanted to say that diet can indeed affect one's dreams. love, ' --- In , " " <sand8013@b...> wrote: > >>>Sometimes I have to wonder.
