Guest guest
Hi everyone: My Cardio has referred me to Dr W J's clinic, Infectitious Consultant at St s Hospital on 13 Nov. I would appreciate if anyone could advise me on which tests could I request to show that there is on going chronic infection and then target certain infections without targetting a specific infection to start with. At present, I would like to know whether there are any tests or investigations apart from no so reliable ESR, WBC, which definitely would show abnormal immune dysfunction. Not being a medical person, and having no knowledge of immunology, I would imagine that there are tests to evaluate the immune pathyway system to see whether there is definite infection. It is on the NHS and being desperately ill and having no funding, I thought it would be a good idea to at least show that there is definite chronic infection and then perhaps do EBV, sakie B, HHV1, HTLV, borreliosis, and so on. I feel that this is very important to show that there is pathology and an organic cause for this dreadful illness otherwise, I will end up being left to slowly deteriorate without help whatsoever. Many thanks for your input. Chantal
Guest guest
You should request a western blot which checks for certain proteins in the blood. That is how my Lyme was detected. Good luck and God bless! Debbie
