Are you raw-feeding? How much do you spend on feeding and supplements - for how

many dogs of what size?

Yes, I'm raw feeding. I haven't got a clue and don't want to know how much

I'm spending! LOL

My dogs are about 11 lbs. each. How much a raw diet costs depends a lot on

the dog's size, unique nutritional needs, and owner's willingness to find

affordable healthy foods. I order commercial ground mixes - meat, organs,

bone only - from two different sources. One is shipped directly to my home

and the other I have to drive an hour away to pick up. It's all frozen.

My dogs are both 15 and get a lot of high quality supplements, so this is an

extra and significant expense. But many people feed their dogs a decent raw

diet for much less per pound than I do!

For commercial raw diets I recommend bravo raw foods and mOrigins. mOrigins

is a pasture-fed beef meat/organ/bone/blood mix and several of the Bravo

products are from pastured animals as well.

Beats kibble any day! :-)

BTW, I should mention that I add other things to these mixes. I don't buy

the veggie/meat blends from Bravo - just the animal products alone. I mix in

berries - usually local Maine organic blueberries or the WFN freeze dried

berry mix - and various supplemens, plus egg yolks sometimes, kimchi juice

and various other goodies.
